One must imagine Sisyphus Happy — Albert Camus
The essence of life is meaningless and absurd, which doesn’t mean the dead end. In other words, because the essence of life is meaningless, it gives us the opportunity to find meaning by ourselves. There are still some sparkling moments that make us feel happy out of the mundane of life. We need to find it, face the absurdity of life, and be happy. Just like Sisyphus accepted the punishment assigned to him, roll the boulder up over and over just to see it fall down again. We must imagine his happiness in this meaninglessness task so that we can face the absurdity and overcome it.
Then happiness is simple.
Sisyphus Happy is a series of surreal wordless comics under the theme absurdism. Life is mundane, things happen mechanized day by day. Just like Sisyphus, we repeat forever the meaningless task of pushing the boulder up to the hill, only to see it roll down again. We can’t help asking what is the meaning of life? But there is never an answer from the unreasonably silent world. The essence of life and the world is meaningless, this gives us an opportunity to find meaning in our lives through fun and sparkling moments and by choosing to be happy.
