Comication is a collaborative drawing method designed to utilize traditional comics formats to initiate associative thinking and visual communication. This 60-card set of illustrated prompt cards combines game dynamics with team-based drawing to stimulate imagination and enhance creativity.
The method is versatile in nature, flexible in group size, suitable for all ages and customizable for every setting. Although Comication is designed as a tool for art educators, it is also suitable for other audience and can be facilitated as:
a nontraditional workshop/playshop (online, offline or hybrid)
a playful activity with family or friends
a creative icebreaker
a group art therapy session
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jacqueline Kumer is a Baltimore-based illustrator. She received her B.F.A. from School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Fine Art) and has an M.F.A. in Illustration Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is a game enthusiast and draws inspiration from nature and subconscious worlds. Currently she is interested in the field of interdisciplinary practice between fine art and visual communication. She plans to develop collaborative drawing methods as a tool for art educators.
